roy_133
Pretty solid looking hero chart, for a depth guy. Could be this year's Barbario. I think there maybe more here than people are implying.

I think there maybe more here than people are implying. Yeah, not sure he'll crack the top 4 but he's a competent third pairing from what i saw in Colorado. At 27 its still possible he as a little more to show but will be interesting to see where he settles in our lineup. The addition definitely makes someone not named Weber, Petry or Beaulieu (and probably Markov) expendable.

A breath if fresh air on the back end and very adequate replacement on the right side (even if it was Petry and not Pateryn that was injured IMO). BigTed3
Really not understanding why Redmond has been sitting while Hanley and Johnston play over him. Neither of the latter two are NHL-quality D men. Redmond isn't great, but he's shown he can play at this level.
BigTed3
Seriously, what did Redmond do to get benched for so many games in favor of Johnston? Every game I see Johnston, this just doesn't make any sense...

PuckPundit
According to Sergio Momeso who asked Therrien about Redmond's exclusion, MT said Johnston has more mobility. Whatever that means in Therrien-speak. This was revealed during the TSN live radio cast @ Jets game.
H_T_L
I liked this explanation better,,,, Apparently Zach Redmond used the head coach washroom at the Bell center and he did not flush, and now Johnson is in

Not too surprising we dont have room for him (we're actually pretty strong from #3-6) but i am surprised MB couldnt at least get a pick for him. Maybe he felt like Redmond would clear & that would give us decent insurance in the minors if there were injuries...
kinot-2
Maybe MB wants to make room for Nesterov.
Regis22
Didn't they do their home work on him in the summer before signing him
H_T_L
It's ironic because Barberio was deemed expendable at the beginning of the season, as Redmond supposedly stole his roster spot forcing us to risk losing him to waivers as we sent him down. Shoe is on the other foot now i guess.
ramcharger440
Meh don't think much of him or a couple of our other depth d men.
kinot-2
Cleared waivers. In 16 games with the Canadiens, Redmond has produced five assists. His shot control numbers during these 16 games were fantastic, topping out at almost 58%.

Its not that he's a cornerstone to our blueline but having him available for a call up, or on the black aces will be a nice bit of insurance come PO time.
