FirstStar
Not sure why we got him. At that point I would've just kept brown. Let him dress every 5 games or so.
BigTed3
Not sure why we got him. At that point I would've just kept brown. Let him dress every 5 games or so. He's the new Mike Brown/Eric Tangradi/Nick Tarnasky/etc... just a waste of a roster spot, even if it's at the AHL level. We have plenty of youngsters that we could be playing, and if the club really did want a veteran as guidance, you don't want a goon who takes loads of penalties as your role model. Bad signing. Agreed, there are bad penalties and useless, lazy penalties. If an opponent is bringing his elbows up and catching our young players high, around the head area and refs are letting it go... Then why not have a Brown to dish out some of their own medicine. Rather have a guy like that serving a possible 2 minutes than Gallagher. You always want some veteran guidance, but he is suppose to be a role model. Having a vet who stands up for teammates is one thing, one who takes stupid, useless penalties that only serve to give opponents a PP is counter productive and serves no purpose. jennifer_rocket
I have no idea why we continue to waste roster spots on players like this. I assume (fingers crossed) he's starting the year with the IceCaps.
Regis22
Can we not sign players anymore smaller players I assume (fingers crossed) he's starting the year with the IceCaps. He should be . But you never know with MT
ramcharger440
This signing is on MB 100% we have no need or use for this guy at all even if other moves are made we are overflowing with depth players.

fnveenie
Even if he does play in the AHL can anybody say they expect Lefebvre not to use him like he did Stortini or Tarnasky or Scott? No matter what he's going to take ice time away from a young, skilled player. I guess we know where the team's priorities lie now. We want to be the 2011 Bruins. BigTed3
This is the problem. Lefebvre is a weak AHL coach and he doesn't win games nor does he develop future NHLers. He has frequently played career AHL goons in the top 6 over younger skill players (sound familiar to Habs fans?). He basically ruined Louis Leblanc's career by playing him with goons. So there should be zero trust given to SL to play Farnham correctly. Why even bother giving him the option of having him in the line-up.
Regis22
Solution, get rid of SL and put a coach in there who will develop young players into NHL players

jennifer_rocket
Solution, get rid of SL and put a coach in there who will develop young players into NHL players Well... To be fair. I don't like SL either, but Andrighetto, Carr, Hudon, and McCarron all seem pretty close to making the jump permanently.

Farnham was a bad signing and he's a bad recall. Makes zero sense to bring up a guy who's best known for taking penalties. We don't need players like this. tony5775
As long as it is Terry that he replaces, then its fine by me. He is so boring as he tries so hard to not make a mistake. Farnham on that 4th line will be fun to watch. He only has 58 penalty minutes on the farm, sure he will be fine.
