Got predictions? Feel so sure of something that you're willing to stand up and make it known? This is the place for it.

Where will the Habs finish this season?

Who will lead in scoring?

Who will advance, or regress?

Will the new players fill the places of the old ones?

And much more.

Whatever you think... Mark your words!

MMW kinot will forget his password again.

He should get it tattooed backwards on his forehead so he's reminded every time he looks in a mirror.

He'll still forget it on his way to the computer.

What do you guys do,,,,,,,,,,,,,, PM each other and decide that today we're going to pick on kinot-1 some more?

Mark my words:

Max Pacioretty is going to score at least one goal tomorrow night. He had such a bad game in Game 4 that I can only imagine he'll be fired up to play his best in Game 5. He's a proud player, he often times tries too hard and make mistakes, but he doesn't stay cold forever. He's due for a hot streak, and the time is now. I also would not be surprised to see Andrew Shaw have a monster game, as he too looks like he's on a mission to step up his game.

I could see this happening.  If you're right, Ted, then Radulov will probably have a great game as well.

I believe the Habs are going to have a "statement game" tomorrow.  This team is simply too good to let a performance like last night be the one they're remembered by.  I think the wakeup call was sent loud and clear today, and the team will respond tomorrow.  I would predict a blowout, but the Bettman Hockey League Zebras won't allow that, so I'll say the boys take an "extraordinary comfortable" win.  MMW.

Agreed. I expect a big game - especially from those who underperformed (Patches, Markov, Shaw and even Price).

I think we will win handily tomorrow and wrap it up saturday.

MMW , MB is going to have to tear this up and re build .

There's not much in the farm system to look forward to

Bergevin better not be anywhere near this team if we have to start a rebuild at the end of next season.

He better not be there next year if we go out in the first round. MB traded away tons of skill for what he calls grit and character. He made the team worse on paper because he was convinced the Webers and Shaws and Kings would get us through the playoffs. They haven't. If we don't make the ECF (which Subban did twice), MB should resign in shame. It means his entire raison d'etre for aging the team and getting rid of better players holds no water. And that makes him a lame duck with no direction to take us in.

I'm certainly waiting for a reasoned and logical defence of the "Bergevin doctrine". Because right now, it's the same unfalsifiable stuff as ever.

Except that we'll never get one. Until he's fired, he just won't address it. There will be an excuse, there will be a deflection of questions away from that point. But he'll never for the life of him admit that he made a giant mistake in trading away Subban for Weber and swapping Eller out to bring in Shaw. He'll never admit that bringing in King and Martinsen and Nesterov made this team worse. The excuses will be that the team played hard but was tired, that we ran into a strong opponent and goalie, that we played well but just couldn't find the net, and that all of these things were basically just bad luck and that we need to simply try harder next year. Bergevin and Therrien built a culture around never assuming any responsibility for any of their mistakes and for dismissing media questions about their failures. But if Geoff Molson takes a look at this team, MB has done very little to bring in key elements: most of his wins in trades have been role players, whereas he's failed to bring in impact players, either through the draft or via trades or free agency.

MMW, we're done. :6351:

Yeah, I don't see us coming back either. The Saturday game starts at 2:00AM local time over here, staying up that late just to watch us being eliminated by an inferior team is pure torture.

why do people think NY is an inferior team

Habs had 103 pts Rangers 102

NY Scored 253 goals , Habs scored 223

Habs allowed 198 NY 216

Seems like two failry even teams

Records were fairly even, but NY has been a very average possession team under Vigneault. You can see even from this series that they sit back a lot and get dominated in terms of shots and rely on Henrik the way we relied on Carey the past couple of years. It's just not a great formula for success. We were the better team in games 1, 2, and 3. They were the better team in 4. Last night, we were dominant in periods 1 and 2 but just didn't cash in on all the pressure we generated. Then they took it to us in the latter half of the third and OT. NY is far from being a bad team. Like with most playoff teams, they're capable of knocking off anyone. But in terms of style of play, we're a better squad. We've just been very inopportune and incapable of finishing chances, but as a whole we've outplayed them for most of this series and don't have the wins to show for it.
