kinot-1
Simple Question: Do you think Carey should play in the World Cup? If you ask me,,, I say no. If the World cup was played in the spring, I would say yes.
Habs=stanleycup
No, because he is so injury prone I say keep him fresh and healthy for ourselves.

jedimaas
As a habs fan its a tough one.You know that some player(s) are going to get injured in the tournament. Its always a risk However, the positive that comes with playing at such a high level probably outweigh that risk. I think Bergevin puts too much stock in "winning" but i do think there is some value in it. The confidence, the feeling, the motivation - even though its not the NHL or the cup - can be an important part of a player's development. Lets not forget that the last time Price represented his country (Olympics) we saw a massive increase in his confidence & many point to that tournament as the single biggest change that took him from a good goalie to a great one. Its tough to say whether the experience will change Carey this time around, mind you, coming off a season to forget and playing a high level couldn't hurt. If anything you have to imagine that he'll be in the type of game shape come opening night that only a handful of other goaltenders will be able to boast. I am hopeful that Montoya/Condon will get a little bit more usage this year anyway (Carey hinted at wanting a few less games than his last full season) so we shall see. Ultimately I have to say yes, as Canadian Canadiens fan, I would want Price at the world cup, even though there's always a risk.
Guest
I have no interest in seeing CP test out his knee in Sept. That's why we have pre season. Let Holtby carry the load.
habs_93
I'm going with no. Confidence is good, but it's not worth the mileage and chance for injury. The only big thing Carey Price has left to win is the Stanley Cup, preferably with the Montreal Canadiens.
