habs_93
I'm hesitant to take much away from one period—let alone one period against the Senators—but it really does look like last year's team. There are subtle changes, sure, but I don't think what last season called for was subtlety in response.
vegasrick
This game could be 4-0 right now. Is it possible that the Habs are even worse than last season?

Well , 3 period against the Sabres http://www.hockeyinsideout.com/news/about-last-night-379 Playing against a severely depleted Buffalo lineup – no Jack Eichel. no Kyle Okposo and, for half the game, no Evander Kane – your Montreal Canadiens were outshot, outhit and – for long stretches of the game – outhustled. That will happen. Right after the game, in the press conference. In English and French. Coach Therrien will definitely say that. He's always taken responsibility for the system's shortcomings. This roster is assembled poorly, that's fairly obvious, but it can be significantly better. Just like last season: it was fixable any time before about mid-December. But the organization showed no will to make the moves. I don't want to be down in the dumps here, but there's not a lot to raise the spirits. vegasrick
Some things never change. Habs outshot 13-6 and they were the ones with the two power plays. Weber plays over nine minutes in one period. Failed power plays lead to goals against. Take a ridiculous penalty at the end of a period. Play a slow, boring, ineffective brand of hockey that stifles all the talent on the roster. *sigh*

The season is young and there is no CP yet When you look at it , the same coaches as last yr + MUller , how much influence will he be allowed to have . Same players as last yr Exit PK, Eller and to a lesser extent Weise, DSP, Fleischman , Gilbert Enter Weber , Shaw , Radulov According to MB he wanted to change the culture of the team . Let's give it time . But culture and character dont' score goals
