On that goal:

- Carr pushed in

- Carr never entered the blue paint

- Ward flopped

Good call to keep the goal standing. Did anyone else also notice Ward winds up and slashes Torrey Mitchell on the back of the leg after the goal? Mitchell turns around and then looks at the ref to complain about what Ward just did. No call on the play but that very easily could and should have been a 5 minute major and game misconduct for attempt to injure. I would urge anyone who has the game PVR'd to go back and look at it, but it's a disgusting play to take his frustration out by swinging at Mitchell's leg in an unprotected area. That could have broken an ankle. IMO given no game misconduct, that warrants a look for suspension.

I agree.  I saw that and was disgusted as well.

Another thing... the PP when the first wave is Desharnais-Pacioretty is putrid. They couldn't get anything going, they killed momentum, and then the Galchenyuk line came on and got a couple of scoring chances even with Weber on the bench. DD shouldn't be on the top two lines but he also shouldn't be anywhere near the PP. His production there is horrendous, and Pacioretty is not far behind.

Desharnais has 11:32 of ice time compared to 10:16 for Galchenyuk... this despite the fact Galchenyuk has an 85% Corsi, this despite the fact we can't say this was because Desharnais plays the PK and Galchenyuk does not. MT just decided that DD needs to be on the ice more than Galchenyuk. Sickening.
