Game #69 ~ Chicago Blackhawks @ Montreal Canadiens. Tuesday, March 14th, 2017.

When Carey stands on his head we can sometimes overcome the enormous talent mismatch with our opponent ... when he allows bad goals like the Hawks' second, it is goodnight Irene. If you objectively look at their top nine vs our top nine it is pretty sad ..... not to mention their D pairings vs ours ... sigh .......

Now ... who would be in charge of getting us the players?????     :7072: Oh yeah ... the mayor of foxholeville!!!!

Emelin in the lineup lately has been the equivalent of spotting the other team a goal.

Same again tonight. Not sure where he was on the 2nd goal, but had he been around just prior, that bad bounce may have been prevented.
Seems apparent that the wrong defenseman is in the press box tonight.

Otherwise, we're not looking too bad, just no finish, which has been pretty consistent for a while now. I like the we are finally stacking the top line, and that is probably helping tilt the ice. While I was in favor of giving Shaw more opportunity, the Byron, Danault, Gallagher line that made a brief appearance last game has more potential. Putting Gallagher, with Plekanec and Lehkonen isn't going to help him produce, and we need that production back. Also making another call for Hudon.

Hopefully we can manage to put some goals together in the 3rd (again) and get something out of this game!

He was caught up ice on that 2nd goal.
