2017-18 Injury Updates

This thread does not exist. Hopefully, by starting this in June, it will move so far down the board that everyone will forget about it by the time the season rolls around. Here's hoping for a season where all the players stay healthy with respect to their head and shoulders, knees and toes (and everything in between).

And so it begins......

Noah Juulsen sustained a fractured foot in the team's Sept. 18 game against the Boston Bruins and will miss six weeks

Ugg.
I dont think he had a hope of making the big club but it would have been nice for him to get a good start to the season in the minors!   The good news is that it probably means he wont be part of a trade to get a past-his-prime centre.

Montreal Canadiens forwards Andrew Shaw and Jonathan Drouin both skated this morning and look to be on track to being in the lineup Wednesday night versus the Toronto Maple Leafs. Shaw had been sidelined with a neck injury, while Drouin had been dealing with an upper-body injury.

The invisible man, David Schlemko has been placed on IR.

Surprised the hand injury is still a problem, it sounded like he was close.
I wonder if they are being extra cautious after clearly rushing Gallagher last year.

Im sure having Mete playing so well helps them not feel like they have to rush DS.

Drouin with an "upper body injury" that everyone seems convinced occurred when he took a puck to his left hand. He played through the second but then didn't come out for the 3rd. So that means either a deep bruise or else concern over a fracture. If it's the latter, we're probably looking at 4-6 weeks out of the line-up. CJ has already stated he still sees AG as a winger, despite the fact Galchenyuk looked pretty good at center in Drouin's absence.

The one thing going for us is that CJ seems to like his other 3 lines as they are. So its more likely he doesnt mix and match the other lines and (hopefully) keeps AG at centre.   That said, they did call up Froese, a centre, immediately following the game - but they did send Mac down. So who knows.

The 4th line looks weak... but to me Mitchell playing on it is the weakest link I've seen so far
