This one was already created so I merged the two so your post is here now.

I guess I didn't look down the threads far enough. Sry 'bout that, and thanks. :)

Chicago is shaking things up. Hjalmarsson to Arizona for Connor Murphy and Laurent Dauphin. Panarin to Columbus for Brandon Saad.

And from Phoenix's end, they've added Hjalmarsson, Stepan, and Raanta... far from being stud players, but better than what they had before.

Oshie signs for 8 years 46M... way too long. He's going to be 31 this year.

Wow thats nutty.   Based on that I think we can say goodbye to Radu (as im sure he'll use Oshie as a comparable even though id vastly prefer Rad)

"Maybe" 5 for 5 years would have been better.

Id give him $7m for 3.   I dont mind overpaying a little for short term.  If you want 5 + years you need to take a discount (unless your Galchenyuk's age or something)

yes exactly, I'd even do 6 years at that cap hit but not 7 or 8

Since 2008, only 4 players drafted by the Habs have played 100 games or more in the NHL, which is last in the league.

Galchenyuk, Gallagher, Beaulieu, and Andrighetto are those 4 players.

Not sure how reliable this site is, but this info came from a site called "25Stanley.com".

They are saying that the Habs have these players in their sights in the 1st round, meaning that they will try to grab one of them.

So FWIW, here they are in order of priorities:

Swedish Jesper Boqvist.
Pierre-Olivier Joseph.
Lias Andersson
Shane Bowers
Erik Brännström
Joshua Brook.

And 2 of them are gone.
