The silver lining for Habs fans is that they may soon get a chance to see him play anyways, as he will join the Laval Rocket on their playoff run. There is no word yet on if or where he will slot into the lineup, but his playmaking abilities should make him a useful ringer for Laval at some point. That’s taking advantage of a loophole - Kidney is 19 and technically ineligible for the AHL even next season not having reached the minimum age. Since he signed his entry level contract, the Habs can sign him to a PTO for 10 days.

Other than Cayden Primeau, who made 31 saves & was the games 2nd star, there's not really any Habs Prospects shining down here. The star of the game, was Danick Martel, basically a fill in with no real future with the Habs. He scored 4 goals! Mattias Norlinder with an assist & Rafaël Harvey-Pinard with an assist, were the only prospects? to register a point. It's almost like the Laval Rocket were built to be a French Canadian Team, and not a Development Team. No sign of Riley Kidney yet. And I wonder if we will even see him, as the coach, - Houle, said that the regular season was for development, and the playoffs were for winning. The only difference that I can see, between this farm team and all the previous farm teams is that this one is based in Quebec. Still not a whole lot of development going on. Of course, this was established by the previous regime so we can look forward to HUGO putting their stamp on the Laval Rocket, beginning next year. Besides we have a good block of LHD prospects - Norlinder sat this game.

Not the first time one of our prospects took a major cheap shot from an opposing player in the 'A'. They need to suspend these guys for a season!
