kinot-2
7:00 PM ET Toronto @ Montreal CBC, SN, CITY, TVAS With no sign of Carey Price on the ice, Charlie Lindgren will make his seventh consecutive start in goal. The Arizona game marked the first in his nine NHL games that Lindgren has allowed more than two goals, but he still ranks fourth in the NHL with a 2.00 goals-against average. The Leafs are expected to counter with Fredrik Andersen (3.04 GAA), who’s among the leaders in wins because Toronto has the offence to make up for his shortcomings. Habs lines Pacioretty-Danault-Shaw Galchenyuk-Drouin-Byron Hudon-Plekanec-Gallagher Deslauriers-De La Rose-Froese Benn-Weber Alzner-Petry Mete-Morrow Niemi/Lindgren Leafs lines (at practice yesterday): Hyman-Matthews-Nylander Marleau-Kadri-Komarov van Riemsdyk-Bozak-Marner Martin-Moore-Brown Rielly-Hainsey Gardiner-Zaitsev Borgman-Carrick Andersen/McElhinney This game could go south REAL quick. kinot-2's GDT Record (A winning one, BTW ), 5-3-

It was an optional practice... the 3 flu guys plus 3 subs (Mitchell, Davidson, Niemi) were the only ones on ice. But as kinot said, Lindgren in and no changes to line-up as per Julien. So we get to see more Deslauriers/DLR...
kinot-2
Matthews is off ... Babcock seemed optimistic that Auston could return tonight. Frederik Andersen is Toronto’s expected starter tonight. He’s won his last 4 starts and has a .963 save percentage in his last 3 victories. Andersen’s 11th wins are tied for 2nd most. He didn’t win his 11th game last season untill December 10th. Leafs have gone 4-0 minus Matthews, scored 12 goals and given up only 5 in that span. The dozen goals were scored by 8 different players. Balance/depth a key moving forward pending 34’s status tonight.
vegasrick
I think the Habs will have trouble scoring in this one, and the Leafs win easily, 4-1.

PuckPundit
Why does this franchise keep pimping out old guys instead of building a modern winning team? Shows management is really stuck in a time bubble. Someone tell them it's not the 1950s-1970s anymore.
