After an impressive win on Tuesday in which they broke the Colorado Avalanche's 10-game winning streak, the Canadiens get back to work on Thursday and will attempt to repeat the result against the Carolina Hurricanes at the Bell Centre.

Nicolas Deslauriers, Alex Galchenyuk, Jonathan Drouin, and Brendan Gallagher were the goal-scorers for Montreal, while Carey Price made 20 stops in the win.

With a goal and two assists, Drouin enjoyed a three-point night against Colorado, his first of the season.

Thursday night's meeting with the Hurricanes will be the second of three showdowns between the two teams. In December, Carolina dispatched the Canadiens 3-1 in Raleigh off a pair of goals from Sebastian Aho.

For their part, the Hurricanes have won only three of the ten games they've played so far in January.

Aho leads the way for Carolina this month, having potted five goals and adding three assists in just seven games. Teuvo Teravainen (2G, 5A) and Jordan Staal (3G, 4A) are right behind him with seven points apiece.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The game will be televised on TSN2 and RDS, and will be on the radio on TSN 690 and 98,5 fm.

Well. We're well on our way to loss tonight. What's our goals per game this season? Can we already assume we won't score enough to tie this up?

Hoping, or fearfull? :P
