Noob616
Seeing some former Habs in the playoffs got me thinking about what the best lineup of still active former Habs would be. Unlike my usual schtick I'm not trying to be snarky or anything, just cool to see guys like Yannick Weber and Joe Morrow etc kicking around and try to make up a lineup. The goaltending is bad and the forwards aren't very good but the defence would be really solid. I'll ignore McDonagh since he never played a game for the Habs. Andrighetto-Eller-Radulov Cammalleri-Plekanec-DSP Vanek-Desharnais-Weise A. Kostitsyn-Moore-Perezhogin Sergachev-Subban Markov-Pateryn Emelin-Y.Weber Scrivens - Montoya? Noob616
Could probably swap Kostitsyn for Tom Pyatt or Benoit Pouliot, or possibly even Nigel Dawes.

WOW, something to think about. I'll get back to you later. . Although you could have swapped out Scrivens for Dubyniyck. (SP?).
Noob616
I don't think Dubnyk ever played a game for the Habs, I think just for Hamilton.

In terms of still active in the the playoffs, this is the best I could do with players who were once a part of the Habs organization at some point It was impossible to have a complete line-up and some players have to be used out of position based on what I think could work Sergachev - Eller - Vanek Andrighetto - Plekanec - Smith-Pelly Morrow - Moore - Mitchell Hainsey - Subban Beauchemin - Barberio Emelin - Weber Devan Dubnyk Peter Budaj
maas_art
^^^^ the sad part is that that defense may be better than ours right now when healthy (especially if you include McDonaugh)... McDonaugh - Subban Beachemin - Pateryn Emelin - Barberio Y.Weber the forwards obviously aren't complete but arent too far off our roster minus a few top line wingers. BigTed3
With players once part of our organization (I won't count Dubnyk though) who are still actively playing hockey, this is who I can remember off the top of my head: Andrighetto-Eller-Radulov Cammalleri-Plekanec-Vanek Pouliot-Desharnais-Weise Sekac-Mitchell-Kassian Gionta McDonagh-Subban Markov-Sergachev Beaulieu-Pateryn Barberio Halak-Condon The forwards are a little lacking in depth and past their prime, and there are shockingly few top-tier centers! But the D is deep, and on top of the guys I listed, you could throw in Emelin, Y. Weber, Beauchemin, Hainsey, Diaz, etc. as depth players, many of whom would still be better than half our current D corps. Sad how many defencemen we've given away in favor of lesser ones. Depth-wise, there's also DSP, Ryan White, Dom Moore, Pyatt, etc. for the 4th line if you chose to go in another direction than what I did.
