Interesting lineup.  Waivers  start tomorrow and usually in the "mid" preseason games you sit players you think are a lock (ie Schlemko) so maybe they are trying to see if there's any point in keeping guys like him on the roster.

Glad to see Vejdemo and Fleury draw in (although neither has a chance to make the roster this year imho).

I like Koktkaniemi with Hudon and Lehkonen. Thats a good pair for him to play with... even though they are the KHL line. lol

This line has a great deal of potential to be very entertaining. Totally agree that we get creamed, hopefully Kotkaniemi does well though cause that line would be fun to watch progress thru the year.

1. Don't think Schlemko is a lock and even if he is, they probably still want to figure out where in the line-up he goes and which side he plays on.

2. Teams are still required to dress a certain number of players with NHL experience, which might be a factor.

3. The Habs and NHL also probably want to avoid icing only no-names in Quebec City, where they're trying to market the game.

M2C.

Re:1  - i agree, which is, to me - a good thing.  Going into camp i thought he was a lock but im not so sure now.  Surely they have to see what we are seeing right?

Re 2-3  good point, forgot the vet requirements.

Not impressed so far.

Remember that Julien is old-school.  The preason is all about evaluation to him.  Boston would routinely lose all or almost all of their games & he could care less.  Right now he's seeing who can do what & playing guys in places & situations to try some hunches.   Not that we're going to be good this year but I dont think you can really read much into preseason results.

This may be the worst looking lineup of defensmen we've every had in one game.
