Our $10 million dollar man better play better in the regular season.

Depends if you're in the "Lose for Hughes", or the "All the way"  camp.

Pk coming up. (In Nashville :P )

Kotkaniemi is wowing tonight. A couple of crossbars on nice scoring chances he created for himself and some seeing-eye passes that he threw tape-to-tape through traffic. Just incredible vision and hockey sense. That line also looks better to me than with Domi centering it. JK is going to be a really hard guy to cut. He could do to have a big more muscle on his frame but I think he's showing he's capable of playing in the NHL already.

Drouin, McCarron, Ward, Reilly also shining tonight. Scherbak struggled in the 1st but looking good in the 2nd, especially on the PP. Juulsen has also been reasonable strong.

Conversely, Benn looks awful. Petry looks bad playing next to him, and that duo just cannot go into the season. The team needs to stick Reilly or Mete on Petry's left. I also continue to be disappointed with Plekanec.

If Kotka was playing on this side of the pond, he'd get the 9 game thing for sure. He might anyway - dunno.

Agree Kotkaniemi seeing  some well deserved time with Drouin. Most impressive is he his not a defensive liability when trying to create offence. I am a littile more sure he will be sticking around for  a few regular season games. He may strugglem but it will be interesting to see how he performs against other teams. Disappointed a little in Scherbak despite the goal and can see this being McCarron and Shinkaruk's last game with the big club. Plekanec looks a little rusty and I am not sure if it is age or his limited playing time in the preseason. Thankfully he only needs 2 games to hit 1000. It would be nice to see him get up to speed though. If our D is still competitive some of the veterans may fetch a third, fourth or fifth round pick in a trade. I think Bergy still has a deal or two in him before the start of the season,
