ramcharger440
Yep JK was one of our better players.
BigTed3
Watched the game on delay, so I'm a little late here, but we got outplayed and defeated by a terrible Ottawa team... and look at the line-up we iced. Alzner was brutal. Benn had a few bad moments. Shaw was overused. Deslauriers wasn't very good. And the PK was brutal. We've gone right back to sitting down our faster skilled players and we're slowly building back up to icing more slowpokes and gritty pluggers. So I'll say now what I said before the game... Shaw should be a 4th liner. Deslauriers should be in the pressbox. Alzner should be in the pressbox. Scherbak or Hudon should have been in. Because when you add Shaw and Deslauriers to Armia and Danault and Peca, suddenly you have half a forward line-up that doesn't create regular offence. Even if those guys are all capable of producing offence, they just don't do it regularly enough and that's not okay when you lack top-end stars and really rely on offence by committee. Bottom line for me is that this was probably a winnable game if we didn't throw out our worst players.

Agreed... the fourth line was a shadow of its former self, which changed the overall effectiveness of the team keeping continued pressure on throughout the game. And both Shaw and Alzner did little to impress. I hope both are shown the door ASAP. I would add that though Price was not bad overall, the wheels did start to come off once he let in that soft goal. IMHO, he is still nowhere near the Price we have seen in the past.
caperns61
The Group as a whole did not play that well, i think they got that 3 to 1 lead and fell back into old habits. Mind you having the likes of ALzner, Shaw and now the Alzner twin up front Delaurie, men is he slow. They actually played much better hockey with a fourth line of Hudon, Pleks and Peca. All good skaters and can get get to the puck, Pleks even at his age could be up and down the ice before Delaurie even gets to his own blueline. And Price come on guy, your getting ten million plus, this game should have been locked down by you.
