He only looked better because the whole team sucked last year. IMO he's been a bust since we picked him up and overpaid him.

I think he actually did cut down on his dumb penalties under Julien compared to under Therrien (until this season). I also think he played his best hockey when paired with Lehkonen and Danault... maybe fewer penalties because those two guys are responsible and forecheck really well and so didn't leave him in positions having to defend as much. But with Peca and Deslauriers as linemates, they're defending all the time.

Domi is playing great but it helps when coaching staff is allowing him to play his game...galchenyuk was scrutinize for every single mistake

This. When did Galchenyuk ever get 10-20 games in a row as a 1C with two of the best wingers on the team and 1st wave PP time every game? Desharnais got that. Drouin got it. Domi's getting it. Neither of the first two really earned it yet they were gifted it. I'll credit Domi that he's earning it, but the coaches and management always made it harder on Galchenyuk.

From Brian Wilde: " Andrew Shaw with these penalties if he were named Charles Hudon would not see the ice in a month. "

So true. Habs love Shaw and Deslauriers and Drouin and Danault and Byron and Plekanec and overlook their mistakes. Yet others like Galchenyuk, Hudon, Subban, Eller, etc. had to fight to be treated fairly.

Nice game for the Domi line, but the Danault line has gone invisible much of the night and the Kotkaniemi line has struggled defensively. The Peca line has been an outright disaster. We're being carried by one line tonight, which isn't a recipe for success with this line-up.

We play like this vs the Bruins and it will be a long night.

We'll be lucky to get out of here with 1 PT.
