Anyone following? Canada faces Finnland right now... Kakko looks pretty good and scored a beauty to open the scoring, Marchessault quickly tied it though.

Unfortunately not many Habs are participating, as far as I know Tatar is the only one from the current roster but Sklenicka and Moravcik are there too.

Note to Mods: Thought I'd create a separate thread for this tournament since I didn't know where else to post, please feel free to merge the topic with an existing one if this isn't wanted.

TKS Chila, for posting this. I try to keep up with the international games. Nice to see TSN broadcasting the games. :)

I just checked out Russia's roster... and boy are they stacked. Ovechkin, Kucherov, Kuznetsov, Malkin, Kovalchuk, Sergachev, Zadorov, Orlov, Zaitsev... plus guys like Gusev and Grigorenko who led the KHL in regular season/playoff scoring this year. Looks like they're the team to beat :o

Does anybody know if Primeau has seen action?

From what I can find out, he hasn't seen action. Schnieder and Demko have been playing.

It probably not going to happen.  I would like to see where this kid is at.  The back up position is wide open in MTL.

We might have to wait until pre-season games where he should get a chance.

Carey is 32 in August.  It might not hurt to have Carey 2.0 mentoring for a couple of years behind Price leading up to the expansion draft.  Then again It might be in MTL’s best interest to keep Primeau in the minors for 2 years.  Let Charlie Lindgren be the stop gap back up and let him get claimed by Seattle in 2021 (potentially).  Then bring Primeau in to mentor from but also challenge Price for a starting role.

Just looking at Primeau's numbers, (25-10-1, 2.09 GAA, .933 SV%), he might very well usurp Lindgren for the back-up job.
