Just a fun game to play Head Coach of the Canadiens. List your ideal starting lineup based on all players currently under contract with the Canadiens (including current UFA's or RFA's). I will start.

These are really good lines.  I particularly like your second line.  Still need to tweak the back end a little.  We do need to make at least 1 move in the off season.

Lines can only based on who is with the organization right now.

I get that.  The only thing I don’t care for is Poehling as a 4th line centre.  I suppose there are worse things in life than having forward depth

Based on who we have right now (and I sure hope we add at least 1 or 2 key pieces this summer, this is what Id do.  

 

Tatar - Domi- Suzuki       - i worry a little about putting Suzuki here but i think JK needs the insulation from Gallagher.   Easier to play wing as a youngster

Drouin - Kotkaniemi - Gallagher      - Good solid 2 way line.    

Lehkonen - Danault - Shaw       - One of the best 3rd lines in the league.

Byron - Poehling - Armia      - Insulate Poehling like we did JK last year.  

Extras:  Weal, Hudon, Thompson

 

Mete-Weber           - Still think we need to get better at LD.                             

Kulak-Petry             - Ideally mete LD here

Folin-Juulsen           - Ideally kulak LD here.

    Shea Theodore  - Petry   ( Vegas are tight at the cap and just  may consider trading him)

Ok, the game is Play Coach not GM you can't add players not currently with the Habs. The whole idea is to get everyone to submit a lineup and come next season we will see who has the closest to opening nights roster.

I Know I cheated i'm sorry.  I just put what I wanted to see next year.

Hopefully no one because we need to add a few key players that should ideally move a number of players down the lineup come October.

I get it I wanted to add Skinner, Klefblom and Karlsson LOL. I would have subtracted Drouin, Weber and Reilly

I know we will get at least 1 I am personally hoping for 2 or 3 but I think that's just wishful thinking lol

I feel lke there's a strong chance we sign one of the 'notable' UFA.  Then I think we will trade a forward or a package for an upgrade at LD.  So i think 2. But we shall see.
