Yep, he won't count anything against the cap if he's demoted, which is fine. The only thing he counts against is the total number of contracts (max 50 allowed)... lots of redundancy seemingly with Cousins, Peca, Weal, Thompson, Varone, Barber, etc. All 4th liners, many of whom can play center... definitely sounds to me like Hudon will be moving on, but also a bit confusing if the Habs plan on having all of Domi-JK-Danault-Poehling-Suzuki play as pivots too.
