AHL numbers look nice. Doesn’t look like he’s been given much of a chance to show what he has to offer on the big stage yet. I would guess that he’ll at least get a look on our 4th line. I read an article yesterday about him, sounds like he’s pretty close with Petry. Exercise buddies. I suspect Petry probably put in a good word for him

low cost, likely minimal reward signing but meh. I mean we need guys for Laval & if they are 'borderline' nhl players then its certainly no harm to grab them.  I high doubt we'll see any guys like this on our main roster unless we have a glut of injuries.

I don’t know. I’d actually be more surprised if we don’t see a little bit of this guy with the big club. Unless we pick up another RW that’s an obvious top six, I can see Weal getting a crack along side Domi and Drouin. That opens up the fourth for a little experimentation. Even more so if we don’t resign Armia.

He set new career-highs with a team-leading 31 goals - including 13 power play goals and six game-winning markers - and registered 60 points in 64 regular season games, before adding three goals and six points in nine postseason appearances.

I'd say he is worth a look at least... could be a surprise if given the opportunity perhaps
