Hope so. Not sure when his quarantine is officially up, & when he can start practicing with the team. But it's gotta be a couple days after Eric Stall's time for the Habs?

Just read that Caufield is playing Friday vs marlies - Bouchard wants him to have a few practices under his belt

Good idea, let the kid get the system down first less chance he comes in and has a bad first game the team is strong this year so they can take a minute to feed him in right. I have a lot of faith in Bouchard he seems to have a good handle on talent and getting guys prepped for the big show so glad he is here and we are actually developing our youngsters.

Hard to mess with a 12 game winning streak at the moment. Curious if he plays beside Peohling. The number one line is clicking. Don’t mess with it.

dauphins line looks steady. As the 2 or 3 depending on the night.

peohling has solid guys. They heated up. Especially him. But I’d put CC on his line and see how it looks.

It's all about development. Put CC in a position to succeed, get his confidence up and bring him home to the Habs!

I'd say he may be more valuable teaching the youngsters who have the motivation to make the Habs.

Yeah its tough to say how he'd do at the NHL level. I think part of what makes him so effective in the AHL is that he understands its a 'teaching league' - like they want to win thats valuable experience too - but the real key is getting players who are potentially NHL quality, ready for the NHL.  Guys like  Blandisi and Teasdale are treated with respect in Laval but Bouchard is very honest about the fact that his main goal is to make sure CC is NHl ready or that Brook and Poehling continue to improve, not stagnate.

I think Bouchard would be happier with 5 of his players becoming quality NHLers than winning the Calder Cup to be honest. Which is awesome and ideal - but does it translate into him being a great NHL coach? Dunno.

Im currently not thrilled with DD but Im also willing to give him the rest of the year to change my mind. We dont know everyhting thats going on behind the scenes (has he asked MB to move some players and bring some others in?   Some choices seem a little troubling but we shall see what adjustments DD makes as the season continues and wraps up.
