If Kinkaid can't play this game, then he may as well not play any... you have the 2nd half of a B2B against a team he has motivation to play well against and for which he knows the tendencies of most of the players; you have a team in front of you playing well and coming off a win, so there's less pressure to try to salvage points out of the B2B; and the opposition has not had a strong start to the year. If there's a game for Kinkaid to be called upon to play, hard to get a more suitable situation to have to use your back-up. He needs to come up with a big game on a personal level though, because he hasn't looked goo most of the year.

If Price plays tonight on the backend of a B2B when we're playing 4 games in 6 nights,,, that doesn't bode well for the backup goaltender. If he can't do the job then MB better get on the phone and find someone who can.
H_T_L
JD placed on IR and Hudon called up. Sounds like a concussion.

Renaud Lavoie says his sources claim not a concussion or head/neck injury and that it was unrelated to the Ovechkin hit. All conjecture. Drouin has been in and out of the locker room all year, it seems, and he had a foot injury a couple of games ago too, so who knows.
kinot-2
Hudon recalled for tonight's game four goals in the last two Laval games.
HabsAlways
if Hudon was recalled, sounds like JK isn't ready yet either

H_T_L
According to CJ,,,, Byron is also out and looks like KK is in. During his pregame press conference, Julien confirmed that Keith Kinkaid will get the start in goal. The start will be Kinkaid's first at the Bell Centre this season. Newly called up from the Laval Rocket, forward Charles Hudon will take Paul Byron's spot in the lineup, who is out with an injury. Jesperi Kotkaniemi meanwhile draws back into the lineup after missing the last seven games with a groin injury.
HabsAlways
Keith Kinkaid will start in goal for the Canadiens, while forwards Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Charles Hudon will replace Jonathan Drouin and Paul Byron, who are both injured. Habberwacky
In years past we would be scrambling with injuries and the quality of players to call up would make the selections more difficult. Weal and Cousins have added some good stability and with Poehling, Evans and Hudon on the farm we appear to have some young depth at forward that makes these injuries a little easier to handle.
