Look at our forwards and tell me which have been better/worse than last season.. this is how I view this year vs. last:

- Gallagher: same

- Danault: worse

- Tatar: similar with good production but worse overall play and bad penalties so overall less valuable than last year IMO

- Domi: much worse

- Byron: much worse

- Lehkonen: same

- Armia: slightly better

- Kotkaniemi: much worse

- Drouin: better but now injured

- Suzuki: new this year

And those are your top ten forwards... this is one of the things I posted about before the season: where is any improvement going to come from this season in the forward group? Gallagher, Tatar, Danault, and Domi all had career years last year. We lost Shaw and replaced him with Suzuki; while Suzuki has played well, Shaw was also very good last season. So overall, we were relying on Drouin and Byron to bounce back and Kotkaniemi and Suzuki to take quick strides towards being impact players, and most of those things haven't happened. Hence a worse overall output and performance from our forward group as a whole this season.
