And so the tank begins :P

Maybe CJ's thought is the Av's played last night and for that reason Primeau would be better suited to play a worn out Av's team than a rested Rangers. Doesn't make sense to me as the AV's have arguably one of the best first line in the league but you never know what CJ is thinking.

He also may be looking at it as in the Rangers "should" be the easier team to beat (ala needed points) and the Rangers may be a team we are battling with for a wild card spot. One more Price may want to prove something after the last game against them. Colorado also is a team that if we did lose against doesn't hurt us as bad being non conference. The team will probably be more aware defensively also playing in front of the kid. Lets hope he has a great start to his career!

Well we have beaten Washington and Boston probably the best two teams in the league this year. It'll be "kids night" JK will score 2, Suzuki 1, Domi 1, and Primeau will stop 39 with 1 goal against!!!

That is really strange. No way Kinkaid would have started this one.

I think Julien had zero faith in Kincaid. I wouldnt be surprised at all if he played him in the Philly game as a "show me" to MB and Waite - so that if he failed he could say "you guys gotta waive him."

Makes you wonder if this is a showcase game

Id be utterly shocked if we were considering trading Primeau.  I mean i sure hope we arent. Kid looks like the real deal. I guess if he was a key part in getting a guy like Sanheim maybe but i cant see he has much value at all right now so that would seem very premature.

That would be my guess.

As well as this.  Bank the 2 easier points against the Rags and hope you can beat the Avs too.    Tough call either way considering how jeckyl and hyde the team (and Price) have been lately.

Maybe Primeau has the game of his life and wins! I wonder if Keith will be in the building this evening?

Ya know, how often have some of us (me included), that when we faced a rookie goalie, that we said something along the lines of "Oh, great, another rookie goalie who will play like George Vezina". Well, now the shoe's on the other foot. We have the rookie now. :)
