Wings ended their losing streak vs the Jets so they should be primed to start a new losing one at the Bell. This is our last home game in 2019 so would be nice to hit the road with another two points in the bank. Byron skated today but not sure of his game status as Poehling has been recalled.

So, I go to NHL.com to find the starting rosters for the game, and lo and behold the Habs/Wings game is nowhere to be found. :5155:

That's cause CJ doesn't like to reveal his lineup until 5pm it's an old school trick in case a trade happens early enough in the day then the player can slot in and leaves the other team less prepared.

Tatar - Danault - Gallagher
Lehkonen - Domi - Armia
Cousins - Suzuki - Weal
Poehling - Thompson - Barber

Chiarot - Weber
Kulak - Petry
Leskinen - Fleury

Price starting
Lindgren

Scratches: Reilly, Folin
IR: Drouin (L wrist, indefinite), Byron (knee, indefinite), Kotkaniemi (concussion, indefinite), Mete (ankle, indefinite), Peca (LBI, indefinite)

Poehling will play tonight because Byron is not ready to return and won’t travel out west. After only one practice following nearly a month out of action, team doctors and coaching staff don’t want Byron to push too hard and possibly suffer a setback.

Julien says Primeau was sent down to Laval to play today and continue his development. Adds that Price will play the majority, if not all of the 4 games in western Canada before Christmas, so Primeau likely wouldn’t see the net.

Julien says Kotkaniemi and Mete will both travel with the team on Sunday and one or both might return to action in western Canada.  - via John Lu, TSN.

OT, Tim Peel fractured his ankle during a game between Minny and Chicago. Can I hear a collective "Awwwwwww, that too bad"?

Sarcasm implied

Don't want to wish injury on anyone but the bright spot is we won't get him for about 6 to 8 weeks.

They had a long losing streek but had a lot of key injuries not to be taken lightly.                                                       GO HABS GO!! 4-3 HABS!!!
