Another team on a losing streak. Can we extend it?? Can we go 3 for 3 out West?

Annnnnd, they're on a 2nd game of a B2B.

Leon Draisaitl, who has the chops to be a strong two-way player, hadn’t been a plus player since Nov. 23 in Vegas (plus 2), 12 games ago heading into the Pittsburgh tilt.

He’s on a minus-14 stretch, which has seen his overall plus/minus fall to minus-7, obviously not good for a guy with 58 points.

He’s still second in NHL scoring with a heady 58 points before the Penguins and very dangerous with the puck, but strangely he had not scored an even-strength goal since Nov. 16.

HOW ABOUT A WIN AT HOME?

Before facing the Penguins on Friday, the Oilers were 8-6-3 at Rogers Place this season.

They had won only two of their previous eight here, against Colorado and Los Angeles, since mid-November.

They had the 25th-ranked home record coming into the Penguins’ game and the fifth-best road record, which makes no sense.

Only the New York Rangers, Arizona, New Jersey and Detroit do less at home. In their last five before the game against Pittsburgh, the Oilers had scored 10 and given up 19 in their barn.

Oilers are mcdavid and draisaitl. They have lost 26 games in a row when those two dont score a point.

Now here's the bad news. Mcdavid and draisaitl both went pointless last game.

3-13 at home out of the past 16 games.
