"must win game" in the first post  ... to make the playoffs every one of the last 25 games is a must win game.   Weber out for tonight and the next 3 games based on Julien's comments ... these next 4 games really make or break the season.

It is an important game tonight but not do or die like the ones vs divisional opponents. Most of those can be seen as 4 pointers. Don't forget we still have those Wings one more time too.

I mean thats the thing. We have what, like 24 more games left and we probably need 18 or so wins in those.  Technically you could lose the next 6 and then win all 18 to end the year, but yeah, it would be a LOT better to get on a nice long winning streak now & then only have to play decent to finish the year.

If you were to win say the next 7 games in a row, then you only need 11 wins in your last 17 games... so a nice winning streak now would be most excellent.

To put that in perspective if I could though... even if you go 7-0 in your next 7 games, then to go 11-7 in your last 18 games, you still need to play .611 hockey. If you go 6-1 in your next 7, then you need to go 12-6 in your last 18 games, which is .667 hockey. So even if you go 6-1 in the next 7, you still need to have a better winning percentage to close the year than all but 4 teams (Bos, TB, Was, Pit) have managed this year.

Agreed.  And any of those scenarios are going to be very very difficult if we do have to do it with no Weber.
