Who are they going to play in place of Gally?

As far as "Natural RW" go, we were already a bit thin.   Gally, Armia, Weise and Belzille are all natural RW I believe Weal is also a natural RW.  Not a particularly deep group even with Gally.

Armia is undisputedly our best RW with Gally out.   Some guys can play RW obviously.  Byron, Lekhs, Evans.

Drouin was playing RW but usually does better at LW.   Obviously Suzuki could go back to RW but I wouldnt suggest that either since he's been so good as a centre.

Muller has been moving the lines around so much I honestly have no idea how he's going to configure things.

To me, with Gally out, our best RW depth goes:

Armia
Drouin
Lekhs

and then either Byron, Evans or Weal on that last line.  But obviously some of those guys will have to play LW instead.

Really curious how Muller & go decided to go with the lines.

It’s gotta be Poehling. Not a RW, but I’m more concerned with who will replace Gallagher in front of the net, and to me I think Poehling might be our best bet there. Also, it’s his turn. I will be disappointed if Poehling doesn’t get the nod tonight.

That would drive the Puffs nuts. :)

Kelly Hrudey would probably spontaneously combust.

Would not surprise me to see Dale Weise play tonight. The only tough guy we have.

We also have Juulsen and Fleury who can dish out hits and fight and yet we continue to dress Ouellet.

So,,, Weal then.

hehe. its prety slim pickin's.

I mean im not surprised, we shipped out several useful players at the trade deadline but still...

My choices to dress as our 12th forward:

Poehling > Belzille > Weise > Weal

I suspect it will be Weise or Belzille though.   I assume guys like Hudon and Evans stay in.

I also would like to see Poehling. He does have size also and at this point in the series I wouldn't be surprised the Flyers are going to want to play it physical which actually plays into their style more anyway. Can Nilan dress for one game? In the old days they'd pay for that stuff.

I'm in total agreement, here.  Give Poehling his chance!

Refs for today:

Gord Dwyer #19, and Jean Hebert #15

Interesting stat on Hebert, in the last 3 seasons, Hebert has done 15 Habs games. Of those 15 games, Habs have won 3 games.

Yes but to be fair to Hebert, Habs have done a good job stinking it up on their own for the past 3 seasons

Didn't notice it anywhere, but do we know, who slots in?  Maybe not to replace Gally, but an able body?

In the bubble we usually dont know ahead of time.  I assume they also dont want AV to know until the last minute - not that they really have to "prepare" for Weise or Belzile. lol.
