New Jersey had three games postponed – two against the Philadelphia Flyers on February 11 and 13, and one against the Boston Bruins on February 15. Buffalo had their two games against the Washington Capitals on February 11 and 13 postponed. The last time both teams played was on January 31st, when they faced each other at the KeyBank Center, in Buffalo.

The League also announced Minnesota’s games against the St. Louis Blues and Los Angeles Kings have been postponed. The Wild hasn’t played a game since February 2 and had their facilities closed on February 3.

Or is it Laine is at it again? Torts is Torts but when more than one coach benches a player ..........it maybe the player!

Or when the coach regularly benches all sorts of players... it may be the coach   All joking aside, this is going to be really interesting to watch. I think Laine is what he is and no coach is going to fundamentally change how he plays. He's probably the best pure shooter in the game but can be really frustrating to watch when he's off.

I know if I was a player I would be pissed off if a teammate kept taking nights off.

I agree when team mates start getting preferential treatment then team unity usually falls off. The year the Caps won the cup  Ovi was back checking and even blocking shots.

The Ottawa Senators have lost defenceman Erik Brannstrom for at least the next week as the young defender is injured. This is sad news as Brannstrom was expected to give Ottawa quality minutes and fight for more consistent playing time. This comes as a result of an aggressive check from Josh Archibald of the Edmonton Oilers that sent Brannstrom into the boards. Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun announced the injury Tuesday morning.

The Edmonton Oilers announced on Tuesday that forward Zack Kassian is week-to-week with an undisclosed injury. About halfway through the first period of Monday nights tilt against the Ottawa Senators. Zack Kassian left the game early after skating through just two shifts. His first shift lasted only a few seconds before he fought with one of the Senators’ assistant captains, Erik Gudbranson. His second shift came halfway through the first period, yet that would be the last of Kassian for the night.

The Chicago Blackhawks have lost two more players. Andrew Shaw has entered concussion protocol and Connor Murphy is out with a hip injury.  Connor Murphy will be out 10-14 days with a hip injury. The team recently lost both Ryan Carpenter and Lucas Wallmark due to COVID, so these new ailments thin an already-depleted team.

NHL.com.  Arizona forward Johan Larsson will have a hearing for an illegal check to the head of St. Louis forward Zach Sanford.  The incident occurred at 5:11 of the third period and Larsson was assessed a minor at 6:08.  Sanford completed his shift and remained in the game.

2 game suspension. Probably wishes it was a Hab he hit.

Alex Galchenyuk has a new home for the second time in just over 48 hours. The Toronto Maple Leafs acquired the winger from the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday in a deal that saw forward Egor Korshkov and defenceman  head the other way. Now AG is in a position to exceed.  Probably, last chance, yet again.
