5:15 into Tuesday's game, goalie Nashville goalie Juuse Saros was on the receiving end of a helmet-to-helmet hit from the Carolina Hurricanes' Nino Niederreiter behind the net. Saros played the rest of the first period but did not return, with Pekka Rinne taking his place in net. Saros will be re-evaluated Wednesday. Saros was likely in concussion protocol after taking the hit to the head.

I realize there's some constraints with the Covid protocol and quarantine requirements, but just the same,,,, does anybody else wonder why it's so easy for players to clear waivers this year? Could there be some collusion going on behind the scenes? Seems somewhat strange to me.
