Habs have played terrible. That said, refs missed an automatic high stick that JK took to face in the 2nd, another one Danault took in the 3rd, and then the no call when Suzuki got leveled from behind that should have been a major. That's 9 minutes of PP time we didn't get for automatic/obvious penalties. Doesn't take into account the inconsistencies on missed calls on both teams for other things. But I have to believe momentum and potentially the score would be drastically different with 9 minutes of additional PP time for us... a lot of people will say we can't blame the refs when Habs play poorly, but teams play poorly and win all the time. It makes a difference in the standings at the end of the day.

So... is the team playing better, worse, or the same with Ducharme? Seems to be slightly worse to me.

The PP is clearly better. Price has been better, albeit I don't think that has anything to do with coaching.

I think in general we have played a touch better than just before Julien got fired but clearly not as well as the start of the season when we were dominating nightly. I think it comes down as usual to the fact our defence corps is brutal. We have Petry and we have some depth parts. Chiarot is 3rd pairing. Edmundson 3rd pairing. Kulak 3rd pairing. Mete not NHL-worthy. Romanov learning but ideally 3rd pairing for now. Weber has played like he should be on the 3rd pairing too. Not sure it matters who the coach is when your GM doesn't give you the puck-moving top 4 D men you need to win games.

Fair point. Well... maybe MB will finally lose his job after this season and someone can finally blow up the Weber/Price experiment. I feel like we've been treading water for the past 20 years.

If MB wanted to build around Weber/Price, he needed to have committed to a better core 3 years ago. Now, Weber looks washed up and Price is far from being the star he once was. You can't build around them any more, it's too late.
