Matthews & Marner will be looking to fatten their stats. Sadly,  there is a chance Primeau gets the start behind this lackluster team.  Unless they call Lindgren back up.

I still think best odds are on the Habs starting Allen again.

So there is those that don't want CC to play in a losing environment but they want Primeau to get shelled? I actually would like to see him play. You never know he could pull a Roy or Dryden or even a Billington as of late. I agree let Primeau play and Cole. Maybe Primeau helps steal a game and Cole makes the PP work! Give it a try.

Agreed but lets not play them against the Leafs. Leafs win 6-1

With the exception of the Calgary games I'm treating the rest of these regular season games as little more than exhibition contests as we prepare for the the real games to start, maybe, in a month. Treat the Calgary games as play-off qualifiers.....win them and we're in.  Home ice means very little in this wretched, travesty of a season. ED, WG, or TO, it doesn't really matter in what order we ruin their Cup aspirations. Play the kids when we can, manage ice time and let Toronto start planning the parade route, we get a higher draft choice and then we try to add to Toronto's history of folding when the games become meaningful. How sweet that would be!

I like the thinking on that, however I do want to see effort and heart rather than acceptance of being over matched. At least let's show them we are a much more physical team and they better be prepared to pay the cost in the corners or front of the net. It's when there are cycles deep in our offensive zone that I get infuriated with Weber's lack of foot speed amongst others.
