Man is Weber horrible on the power play.

Because he can't move the puck. When you're on the PP, you need to move the puck around quickly and/or you need to be able to attack the box to get defenders out of position. He doesn't do either of those things well. So when teams know you're not skating the puck into the net and you're not making regular dangerous passes, they can overplay you to take the shot. If he makes a pass to a teammate, it's usually a directed pass that's easy to read, so the defence just adjusts to the new puck position.

well if we dont make the playoffs, we might rebuild

But at this point it's on Molson, as it has been for years. Bergevin's idea of re-building is "not trading draft picks or top prospects" but he's made it clear he doesn't believe in selling declining assets for futures either. So he's stagnant. It's not a re-build, it's just inertia. He's not willing to sacrifice the now to be better later and he's not willing to sacrifice the later to be better now, so we just stay mediocre forever.

And equally frustrating is that Kulak is sitting for 3 games in a row. He's been our best D man the past month and we're seeing how bad the D corps is last night and tonight. Weber bad. Chiarot bad. Edmundson bad. Petry bad. Merrill meh. Romanov hit or miss. Not one guy has played like an NHLer the past two days.

Ducharme needs to grow one balls and sit Weber

A reminder that Kulak is #1 on the team and #7 in the league among Corsi for D men at 5v5. He's not the most skilled but he can skate and move the puck, and the Habs simply aren't valuing that. It's costing them. We have 4 D men in the line-up who cannot make a great play with the puck, and a 5th in Petry who is struggling mightily right now.
