I am starting to think the league is going to steal this from us with the insane clown show in stripes!

Sure looks like it. However, Our Habs can and will overcome it.

We'll have to try and come out strong. Vegas will want to come out strong. If we can score first in the first 10 minutes we'll definitely win this game. They will be able to have better match ups this game but I feel we are going to hang tight...........................HABS win 4-2 !!!

The Habs seem to copy the outcome of TB games in the semis, so we are due to a commanding victory :).

I noticed that as well lol. Bit I am going with a 5-1 Vegas win. I think Chiarot is starting to show why he is not a top 4 defender. He gave the puck away 3 times in the shift before the O.T. winner last game. Even if he had iced the puck it would have been better than giving it away in your own end. Then on the goal he just stands there watching it go in the net boxing out his man. He literally could have stuck out his right hand and stopped that shot at least KK tried to stop it though

I think Chariot was covering tuch , kk was trying to fish out the puck leaving Roy open behind him

Watch the replay Chiarot fails to clear the puck 3 times. The first time is a weak backhand pass up the boards that is held in by the D man along the left wall. The second time he tries to reverse it behind the net but gets pinched along the wal like 5 seconds after his first failed clear. 3rd time leads to the goal this all happens withing a 20 second span. Chiarot got picked by Tuch after he lost it the 3rd time and KK was doing his job protecting the slot pass and tried to dive back once Chiarot got picked by Tuch and Price was out of the play. He gave the puck away with a second weak backhander up the right wall. Also because of his position inside the crease facing the play all Chiarot had to do was let go of his stick as the shot came and put his glove out to stop the puck but he didn't even try. I wish the replay showed the other 2 give aways bit here is the replay of the goal. Chiarot just watches the puck go in the net while standing in the crease.

Kind of like a 3 speed bike. The road to the Stanley it's pretty tough to get out of 1st. Ya it was Byron last time..That figured, but sure would like to see 2nd gear from a couple others this time around.

Funny, I had the same thought initially... I was like man, why didn't he just slap the puck out of midair or go for a diving save? It's not like it was a hard shot but he was probably tangled up with Tuch and pretty gassed, so I told myself that maybe it's not an entirely reasonable expectation

I love Chiarot's heart, and a degree of intensity / tenacity including dropping the gloves for "their code". but I hope he is claimed by the Krakken, and we find an upgrade like a Dunn or Bean etc.  There is too much overlap between he and Edmundson in their style of game and I believe Edmundson is the better d-man.

BOLD! I like it!

I think that Vegas will go with Lehner again & as I mentioned in another thread, my friend who is a las vegas fan is convinced the team plays worse in front of him (and they did last game).  If we can get a couple of quick goals on him i think we'll rattle him & then just play a really boring, mistake free, neutral zone game to close out the final 30 minutes.

Apparently, we are a perfect 10-0 when we score more than the opposition.  Unfortunately we are 0-5 when we score less.
The coaches should pay attention that.

In all seriousness, we just need to find a way to score. We are 9-0 when scoring 2 or more goals this post season.   1-5 when we score less than 2.   Give price 2. He'll do the rest.

I still think the coaching choice to have the JK line out against Paciorettys, that early into OT was the biggest issue.  All 3 of the other lines are better suited to that matchup.

Im convinced they went out & got Edmundson for that reason. They even pay them the same amount.   Chiarot has really grown on me this post season but I agree, they are very very similar players & having one in your top 6 is fine but not two (they are defying odds right now on this special playoff run).

If JK had actually been protecting the slot Roy wouldn't of been able to get a shot. Chariot was doing his job. Price shouldn't of been on his back scrambling. JK this whole series has been weak on the puck being stripped from behind and not being able to make quick plays. It;s as much the forwards job especially the center to help get the puck out of the zone.

I agree with the line match ups. JK's line needs easier match ups. Danault & Suzuki both match up against stronger lines better.

Agree, any other line would have provided Chairot more support along the boards. If I wasn't a Montreal fan I would have found JK's flopping act around the net amusing.

Price actually stopped the 1st shot by Roy . It was the rebound he couldn’t get at . Not sure what JK was doing in his stomach in the crease . Chiarot hsd tuch tied up . Someone needed to take Roy . He was left with two chances to knock it in. Either way maybe there wouldn’t have been overtime if the winger would have picked up mcnabb on the tying goal. It is what it is .
