Now we all know that injuries happen. From what I've read, there's a whole bunch of injuries suffering from various allments and injuries.

Please post them here.

And of course, there's already a thread prolly for that. TY HTL.

Ducharme says Price is projected to return to the ice next Monday: skating, receiving shots, then progressing from there. Ducharme adds that it’s too early to definitively say if Price will be ready for the start of the season.

#Habs Ducharme said he spoke with Caufield, who said he feels good and that if it was up to him, would be practising now and not waiting to return to the ice early next week. Ducharme joked, “I didn’t know Cole was studying to be a doctor in Wisconsin.

Caufield: “I saw (Ducharme’s) doctor joke — pretty funny. It took two years to get it.”

Ducharme confirms Edmundson's medical tests did not go well and they expect him to miss another 2-3 weeks. So likely we will continue to see Romanov-Petry as our top pairing going into the season, I'm guessing (which I think is good for that pairing but bad for the team that we'll have more Chiarot and less Edmundson).

Yeah, good that we will likely see more Romanov - Petry (and who knows, maybe that pairing sticks indefinitely) but bad that means we likely see more Chiarot.  Im not as hard on him as a lot of people here - i think he can be as good, if not better, than Benn - but that means 3rd pairing / PK is his wheelhouse. Not top 4.  Certainly not top 4 with another defense first guy like Savard.

Price and Edmundson to miss the start of the regular season

Can't believe all the injuries and stress related absences in the last year. Are we unlucky or what? If we fumble out the gate,  it's going to be such a long season. I  could then see some massive changes happening. I hope that I am wrong, but.......

Keep in mind we made a deep playoff run last year and the season finished late because of COVID to begin with, so we had an extra short off-season... less time for guys to rest up, heal injuries, get surgery for whatever they were playing through, and so on. Plus, professional hockey players have a routine for what part of the year they rest up and then escalate training again, and with the schedule being far different from usual, it's possible they started escalating training with less recovery beforehand and were stressing parts of their bodies that weren't ready. Edmundson's injury really sounds like it's some kind of a muscle injury in the leg (like a hamstring or quad pull/tear). Caufield also sounds like he had some kind of a muscle pull. Price is now in rehab but had a late surgery in the off-season because of the playoffs. Hoffman sounds like he over-did it at practice. Weber was just broken and never made it back. And so on... wouldn't be surprised if this is a tougher year than most injury-wise for a lot of teams.

Yeah.  I was trying to grab onto that thread of optimism.
