The stats make it sound like the goalie stood on his head and everything else was the same old I guess Jake Allen did stand on his head. I watched the third period, and it looked like the Habs were trying to let SJ back into the game, let alone break Allen's shutout.

kinot-2
It was the second-most saves in a shutout in Canadiens history. Jacques Plante made 52 saves in a 2-0 win at the Chicago Blackhawks on Nov. 13, 1955.

The stats make it sound like the goalie stood on his head and everything else was the same old Allen was excellent all game and absolutely he stood on his head for much of the third but at that point we had good control over the game. When it was 0-0, 1-0 and 2-0 it was a pretty even affair. Allen was good but so was the whole team. In the third the Sharks made a strong push to get back in & at that point Allen put on a clinic. So there's no doubt he was our best player but Id say for most of the game the whole team showed up. 31 minutes ago, kinot-2 said: It was the second-most saves in a shutout in Canadiens history.
