Joshua Roy was a late cut - tough competition

Too bad Roy didn't make it, but still a few guys to watch as a Habs' fan... Guhle obviously, but then you have Wright and Bedard as the next two projected first overall picks, and I really feel like Xavier Bourgault is going to be a trade target for Montreal if they end up dealing with Edmonton (who are rumored to be interested in Chiarot).

Totally concur on Bourgault. We desperately need a strong scoring 2C to take the load off Suzuki. In an ideal world, that's Wright. I am looking forward to seeing any progression for Centre Jan Mysak who will likely captain Czech Republic again and appear in his 3rd WJC. Unfortunately, I see Mysak as probably a 3C at best and that's a little crowded with Dvorak, Poehling, Evans in the that mix. Within the prospect pool we have Kidney, Kapanen (no idea why we passed on Pastujov), who are smallish longshots, and the rest seem to be fodder.

I personally don't have high hopes for Mysak, but hey, hopefully he surprises me. I think regardless of whether it's this draft or the next or some other move, the Habs will need to find another top 6 center. Will post more in the draft thread, but wondering if Matthew Savoie could also be an interesting prospect in this regard.

Not to take anything away from Guhle cause this is awesome, but remember that he's one of only 3 returning players so im sure that was part of the decision on the captaincy.

That said, i wouldnt be surprised at all to see him as future captain material in the NHL one day...

Metal men......we used to bend the stick to raise the puck. Had to wear eye protection.
