I'm not even sure if you can do it wirelessly since there isn't anywhere to plug in the small wireless receivers needed. I'm no expert but just going by what my Ipad is capable of. It may work if your Keyboard and mouse work through Bluetooth.

Ipad has big letters to make typing fairly easy but it's also quite easy to navigate with just your finger. My choice would be keyboard adapter if I typed a lot but I use a keyboard wirelessly attached to my laptop for that. I use my Ipad because I can see it much, much better than my Iphone(Don't need my glasses!).

Thats what I use. You can use bluetooth or wireless - with a dongle but that needs to be either lightning or UsbC depending upon which ipad you have. Also, unless your ipad is older, the picture (adaptor) you showed wont fit your port. Which cable do you use for charging? The left is called USB C - and was introduced on all ipads about 4 years ago... the older ones (prior to 2018) used the lighting (shown at right)

Yeah if you're getting a new ipad you'll need some sort of a USBC hub to physically connect a keyboard & mouse (Vs Wireless) but the problem is that the connector will have to supply power to both (your mouse and keyboard both require a small amount of voltage to work) so now you're trying to pull power from your ipad to those devices... so like something like this - but i have no idea how it would actually function, could be super laggy. If you look on amazon or similar for a bluetooth keyboard & mouse for ipad you'll find some options that should work a lot better (and allow you to charge your ipad at the same time if you wanted)
