I think next to Domi with his vision he would of excelled and if we had been able to keep him we would have that shot off the half wall. Marky was so awesome for us & a healthy Markov? Well MB would have probably traded him. Time to move on, but never say never.

Pretty sure MB can't stand Walsh and his dealing through the media for his clients.

He's (obviously) got not future and Mete, Kulak even Chiarot are all better than him. Frankly, Byron playing LD is probably a better option at this stage of the General's career. I wish him well but i honestly cant see anyone giving him a contract. Maybe a PTO?

You never know, he might still have it.

Yeah and after the 10 games he retires and becomes head of defensemen player development even if you have to create a position it's worth it. Who better to teach the young guys in the system how to play right than the General?

It's actually Tim Hortons and at least he has a job I know people who would rather sit on their duff collecting social services. Good on him for not being one of those types of people. What is actually sad about this story is how a pro athlete has to earn minimum wage after his career ends cause there is no support system to help manage their income while they are playing. A lot of these young guys go from making nothing in the minors to signing for millions in their 4th year in the league with no concept of how to properly manage and plan for the future.
