Renaud Lavoie says Drouin, Pitlick, Dadonov, and Edmundson are the only ones on the ice this morning and are at risk of missing their turn in the line-up tonight. Guess that means Slafkovsky is back.

Does that mean Armia is back as well cause that only allows for 11F and 6D wit Dadonov, Drouin, Pitlick and Edmundson all out

Curious to see the lines. With the 12 guys rumored to be in, I'd like to see

Caufield-Suzuki-Slafkovsky

Monahan-Dach-Armia

Anderson- Dvorak-Gallagher

Hoffman-Evans-Pezzetta

What I think we'll get is

Caufield-Suzuki-Hoffman

Monahan-Dach-Slafkovsky

Anderson-Dvorak-Gallagher

Pezzetta-Evans-Armia

(with the potential for Slaf to be on the 3rd, swapping with one of the other two wingers currently there)

I wonder when we'll actually see this.  Or Slaf on the PP.  I know they want to ease him in but i also would like to see him get a few more opportunities.

Can't be any worse,  than what they're throwing out there now. Maybe they're worried,  that Slafkovsky does so well, that he'd create controversy if he got sent down to Laval. Dunno, but you're right, put him in a position to succeed.

CC-Suzuki-Dach

Hoffman-Monahan-Armia

Anderson-Dvorak-Gallagher

Pezzetta-Evans-Slafkovsky

D unchanged

Would have preferred to see Hoffman out for Drouin or at least on the 4th line. But Dach on the 1st could be interesting, and excited to see Armia and Slafkovsky confirmed back.

I do like that MSL isnt afraid to try new things.  Right now we have several key players that we're somewhat unsure what they are suited for (wing or centre, 1st, 2nd or 3rd line) etc.    This helps us know what trades to make & what players to draft.

Unlike MB its not "you can never have too many LWs"

tsn 690 is saying Dach is on the right wing of the top line. i did not see the correction post you made.  my bad.

CC-Suzuki-Dach

Hoffman-Monahan-Armia

Anderson-Dvorak-Gallagher

Pezzetta-Evans-Slafkovsky

not liking this winger set up. i find it odd so many changes after a win.

Agreed on trying things to see what you have. It's one of the pluses of a season where you're not expected to win anything.

The downside to this is that the Habs shouldn't really expect Monahan, Dvorak, or Evans to be key players in the top 6 after the next two years, so Suzuki and Dach are the two guys you have in house now who can fill those roles down the road. You'd kind of like to develop Dach as a center more than anything. Personally, I like Dach's transition and distribution game and less so his work along the boards, so I think he's a more natural fit at center. That said, I've been suggesting we try him with Caufield for a while now, so that could be interesting, and it's also a need to find someone to play with CC and Suzuki, so that in itself could solve another problem. But if you ask me, Dach's ideal linemates are Caufield combined with one of Anderson or Slafkovsky.
