The defence remains an enigma. Guhle had a few great sequences where he carried the puck or made nice passes, including one leading to the Hoffman goal. And then he had times where he lost his coverage in his own zone. I like Guhle, but he's had rotten luck with who MSL has chosen to pair him with. Not doing the guy any favors to have to carry a pair of slow veteran D men in Savard and now Edmundson.

Meanwhile, I continue to wonder how Harris doesn't get a shot on the PP. There were couple of times where he walked the line or side-stepped traffic and got a shot through towards the net. He doesn't rip it, but he's super-effective at getting the puck where it needs to be, and the PP could use that.

Xhekaj laid out some nice hits but like Guhle, he had some lapses in his own zone. Wideman looked like a pylon tonight. The Habs could really use two RHD to play with these two. A couple of thoughts... could Barron be ready later in the year to fill one of those holes? Could Xhekaj play off-wing next to Matheson? It gives Xhekaj a mobile partner who can move the puck...

Well the jerseys did it to us again! lol! well that and the trap! and with Monahan out we don't have a good second line center so we are far more predictable. Not having Matheson hurt too he is a great puck carrier! As for the D well the kids did what they could.....

0-2 with the blues, and only scored 3 goals.
