Mine either, I like music and musicians too much. I am a musician, play guitar, bass and trumpet. Did the whole punk scene in the 90's. I play anything and everything from classical, to metal. I really enjoy folk, bluegrass, even some country (none of that new crap though like Billy ray).

My music has to have instruments, played by members of the band or at very least hired, studio musicians. Not a loop of something pre-recorded or sounds made by a synthesizer.

That's why I can listen to and actually enjoy the Beastie Boys (RIP). I don't consider them rap, they may rhyme when they sing, but the music itself is funk, which is played by the members of the band as well as by studio musicians.

It's not only funk. They're rap, rock, hip-hop, funk, electronica, blues, jazz... they're all over the place. And they're amazing.

True they throw a lot of different styles into their music. My favorite albums by them are License to Ill and Check Your Head... which are very funky albums. Didn't like their electronica phase, but everything else I enjoyed.

Mine would be License to Ill and Paul's Boutique. Check Your Head would be third for me. All three albums are amazing.

I can really enjoy any music. I find myself listening to artists like Jay-Z then 5 mins later Boston, another 20 mins later its pink floyd, the beatles, then it could end up as some michael buble or something.
