Guest Sainte-Flanelle11
60islove didn't mean that you should all be worried for Juventus. She just said she doesn't like the fact that everyone here seems to be fine with teams getting relegated. I personally agree with her. I'd rather see this handled some other way. European bans, huge fines, stripping titles are all fine; but not relegation.
Guest mateus
im sorry but these clubs are making MILLIONS even BILLIONS a year. fines? point deductions? stripped titles? = tap on the wrist you have to hit them where it hurts. relegation, take away there chance of being a competitor. -Matt
Guest Sainte-Flanelle11
And more players leave Juve: Barcelona acquire Thuram, ZambrottaAssociated Press 7/21/2006 10:45:32 AM MADRID, Spain (AP) - FC Barcelona has signed defenders Gianluca Zambrotta and Lilian Thuram from relegated Juventus, the Spanish team said on its website. The former France veteran Thuram, 34, has signed a two-year deal and Zambrotta, 29, a four-year deal. The transfers were the latest by Juventus players in the wake of a corruption scandal that has relegated the club to the second division in Italy and stripped of its past two Italian championships. The contracts were signed Thursday. Financial terms were not disclosed. The newspaper El Pais and other news outlets said Thursday that European and Spanish champion Barcelona is prepared to pay 14 million euros ($20.1 million Cdn) for Zambrotta and 5 million euros ($7.2 million Cdn) for Thuram. Barcelona praised the two players as being among ``great protagonists'' of Italy's victory in the World Cup in Germany. They will join Barcelona during its tour of Mexico and the United States, it added. Real Madrid announced late Wednesday it had reached agreement with Juventus over the transfers of Italy captain Fabio Cannavaro and Brazil mainstay Emerson, each on three-year contracts. Guest Sainte-Flanelle11
Hehe thanks. Because of that I'll also give Juve fans some good news (although kinda old now). Buffon and Del Piero won't be going anywhere. But Deschamps said: "We have managed to keep the goalkeeper. I am 100% certain that Buffon is staying."It is important that we have managed to keep a world-class goalkeeper and striker - Alessandro Del Piero." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/e...ope/5204684.stm
Guest ribz&ryder_connexion
Patrick Vieira will sign with Inter tomorrow according to Massimo Moratti, the Inter president. His contract will be for 4 years and as for financial terms, we don't know yet. There have also been rumors about Mauro Camoranesi, David Trezeguet, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic moving clubs but I saw somewhere that they're all planning to stay. Geez guys I go away for two weeks and you leave this thread to rot? Shame on you!

PLLZZ chelsea always add superstar after superstar on their roster and what usually happens when they face Man U. ??? ManU just got off at a terrible start last year but then showed how they can play . And if u think manU was strong last year wait till u see cristiano this year this kid just keeps on improving year after year. And if u think hes just a diver think of it this way he usually gets the call and he has the best ball control in the world .
Guest ribz&ryder_connexion
Chelsea's doing terrible right now. Losing to the MLS All-Stars and drawing with Celtic. Aw man I can just hear those dumb mancs, scousers, gunners, etc... right now chanting something un-creative. I'm not worried though. Sheva and Ballack will make a good duo this year. At least I hope...

Guest Sainte-Flanelle11
Dang!!! Ibrahimovic to Inter Milan! Ibrahimovic quits Juve for InterZlatan Ibrahimovic has joined Inter Milan from Juventus in a £16.7m deal. The Swedish international striker, 24, follows Patrick Vieira in moving from Turin to Milan after Juve's relegation as part of the match-fixing scandal. Ibrahimovic, who scored 23 goals in 70 games for Juve, has signed a four-year deal at the San Siro. New Juventus coach Didier Deschamps had said no more players would leave after Vieira, but he has made a £5.9m profit on Ibrahimovic, who signed in 2004. The Swede is the second striker to secure a move to Inter this week following the two-year loan of Hernan Crespo from Chelsea. And he is the sixth big-name player to leave Juve, the disgraced former champions having already sold Fabio Cannavaro, Emerson, Gianluca Zambrotta, Lilian Thuram and Vieira this summer. Italian World Cup winners Gianluigi Buffon, Mauro Camoranesi, Alessandro Del Piero and Cristiano Zanetti are still on Juve's books, as are Pavel Nedved and David Trezeguet. Guest Sainte-Flanelle11
Even with these new additions, the only two players I can honestly say I like on that team are Grosso and Crespo... I'm pretty indifferent towards the rest.
