Guest J Haul
Hey, thanks! It's a little small, but I get the picture (pun intended). You guys (and gals) are so hopeful.......true fans. I would love to see the Hollywood ending, too. The scene is set perfectly, I must admit. But on the other hand, I know in the realistic world it's a hockey game, and anything can happen. That slippery little black rubber disc can bounce the other way, too, and even if Huet does stand on his head, it is very possible for us to come out on the wrong side of the equation. Those of you attending the game Tuesday, you are very lucky! If if really does turn out to be the turning point game of the year, you'll be able to say "I was there!" As for me here 3,000 mile away, I'll just have to listen to Rick Moffat call the play (after it happens) on CJAD. GO HABS GO! GO FANS GO![/quote:e8a4b75c24] Click on the link, theres a bigger picture there. And I'm sure Huet and his ghost buddies won't let us down. GO HABS GO! Habs-and-Avs
Have you not noticed why huet has been gifted with these skills. On his helmet he has the ghosts of the montreal forum. He recognizes them and thats why they help him
Mr-Habs420
i don't beleive in this kinda stuff no such thing as ghosts man [/quote:d5097ddb56]I, however, have to say that I do believe in the "ol Forum Ghosts" and as a matte of fact, I think that they have finally decided to move in permanantly this season. I think they were waiting for a familliar face as gm/behind the bench before making the move. In 2003-2004, they decided to pay visit for the Boston series. I mean how else could you explain coming back from down 0-3? Now you can feel the excitement watching every game.. you know they are there... What made it evident to me is the night that they retired Boom Boom's number... It was so ghost like how they had lowered Morenz's #7 down to meet Boomer's #5... like he was being accepted into the Ghost's Locker room. Now you can call them the Ghosts of the Phone booth... LOL...

I will have to dig up my Rocket Richard book because there is a little story about the forum ghosts in there if my memory serves me right. The story I remember is one of the Bruin coaches was complaing after losing a game how it was "those damn ghosts" that were making life miserable for his team. It was then that the term forum ghosts became popular to help explain some of the events that happened at the forum.

HabTastic
I think the ghosts have found their way back. I think the comback from 0-3 against the Bruins proved that. The Habs are in a perfect position to show that the ghosts are around against the Canes. The Habs have had everything go against them so far (Saku hurt, Canes can't get a penalty called against them no matter what they do to our players) and yet they're still in it. The stage is set for a big game tomorrow and a big comeback. May the ghosts of the Forum be with the Habs!
HabTastic
I think the Ghosts are back (or new ones for a new arena) and that the 0-3 comeback against the Bruins last time we were in the playoffs proved it. Look all has gone against the Habs this series, whether it is the refs not calling anything against the Canes, Cam Ward being on fire, and most importantly, Saku being injured. However, it's in these situations that the ghosts shine. When the Habs' backs are up against the wall, in a situation that seems hopeless is when the ghosts show up. The stage is set, time for the Canes to find out the ghosts will be floating over their heads for game six! Go HABS Go!

Guest vegasrick
Hmmmmm................. I don't know...........I think these "ghosts" haven't helped at all. Too many times this season, we saw opposing not-so-great goaltenders stand on their heads and make pretty incredible saves that turned games against us. Along with that, we've seen our own players miss the net, or just lose the puck staring at an open net. I've witnessed our players falling down, taking forever to shoot, and all kinds of other weird plays............and then there's the "accidental" stick to Saku's eye, ALL on our home ice, of course. This is all bad stuff. Tonight we ended our season with the game six loss to Carolina. We get one or two bounces, and we win. One good bounce off the post, and Pleks has the game-winner. If the puck stays on Kovalev's stick, he has an easy wrap-around winner. But NOOOOOOO! Instead, we get the bad hop off Bouillon's stick, and a goal that Huet surely should have had goes in. Good bye, playoffs. I think we should just banish the ghosts from the Bell Centre and let them stay at the old Forum. I've never met a ghost that helped me in any way. These ones don't seem to be helping us, either.
